The McLane Family name has been synonymous with logistics and supply chain solutions since 1894 when it was originally established in Cameron, Texas as the McLane Company. Soon after, the company moved headquarters to Temple, Texas, and started to increase service offerings.

1958
Founded in 1958 as M-C International, McLane Global establishes business as a dominant player throughout the Pacific trading world and built a heritage known for operating in diverse markets.
1978
Drayton McLane Jr. becomes CEO of McLane Company and begins to grow the business into a multi-billion dollar operation.
1990
McLane Company acquired by Walmart. The McLane IP used to create grocery distribution operations.
1992
Drayton McLane Jr. forms McLane Group, holding company for assets/buys Houston Astros professional baseball franchise. Owns team 19 years.
1992
McLane Classic Foods established in 1992 as a premiere kettle cook company.
1993
Drayton McLane Jr. purchases international distribution operations from Walmart
1994
M-C’s success catches the interest of wholesaler, Drayton McLane Jr, and joins the McLane Group company creating a dynamic force within the global sourcing business
2002
M-C International is renamed M-C McLane International. The company strengthens its own private label brand, Lady Liberty, and expands intro sourcing for large domestic retailers.
2005
M-C McLane International moves from Oakland, CA to Woodlands, TX strategically positioning the company for importing and exporting goods around the world.
2010
M-C McLane becomes McLane Global, a Houston-based distributor, exporting products across the U.S. and globally.
2011
McLane sells Astros to focus on McLane Group companies and philanthropy efforts
2013
McLane Global establishes HRDN (Hunger Relief Distribution Network) to support U.S. food banks and McLane Global Logistics, a third-party logistics provider.
2015
McLane Global reintroduces Lady Liberty, the better-for-you brand with a new wide range of quality, world-class products, and the creation of the Emerging Global Brands.
2017
McLane Global opens a new distribution facility and headquarters to support sales initiatives and modern 3PL customers. HRDN becomes McLane Hunger Solutions.
2018
Headquarters expands to 285,000 sq ft., announces the completion of a joint venture establishing McLane Global Middle East, and introduces the newly designed M.C. Trader Brand
2019
McLane Global opens an additional 225,000 sq. ft warehouse in Riverside, CA.
2020
McLane Global opens an additional 195,000 sq. ft warehouse in Salt Lake City, UT
2020
McLane Hunger Solutions partnered with USDA and Baylor on the Meals-To-You initiative during the pandemic, delivering over 39 million meals to 270,000 rural students across the U.S.
2021
McLane Global International receives the President’s “E” Award for significantly contributing to the increase in U.S. exports

I had a good experience as a driver picking up from here. I arrived the night before and parked in a closed shopping center .06 miles from McLane. It's about .02 miles before you turn on Cypress by WellsFargo. I arrived 5 min before my appointment. The lady working the window was professional and patient when my pickup number didn't match and I had to get a new one. I arrived at 10:55 and was out with bills by 12:15.

The forklift operator (Gabby) was very helpful and experienced. She has a wonderful workplace demeanor and should be looked into for a position raise if I must say. More employers should appreciate having respectful employees such as her!! 😊👍
